Amanda has such a darling and yet oh so simple project for us today!! In this tutorial she shows us how to make cute custom envelopes that are lined with patterned paper!! I just love how quick and easy this is to do.... but at the same time it adds such a bold and darling impact!! I know that little personal touches like this go a long way when sending happy mail to the people we love and care about!!
Hi friends, Happy Thursday! It's always fun opening envelopes with patterned paper inside so today I thought it would be fun to make our own using the Styleboard paper collection.
STEP 1: Using one of your envelopes, cut off the front and side flaps to create your template.
STEP 2: Trace the envelope template onto your patterned paper. To make the paper fit inside your envelope you will need to trace it twice.... once at normal size and then again about 1/2 inch to an inch below the first tracing. The second outline will make a smaller shape, allowing the patterned paper to fit inside your envelope. You can see my pencil mark below showing the first outline which is the size of the envelope. The smaller tracing is the one you will want to cut out.
Step 3: After your paper is cut out and you have created your envelope shape, add adhesive to the back and insert it into your plain envelope.
I just love how the patterned paper transforms the envelopes!! How fun would they be for birthday invites and sending happy mail to your friends?
