Hard to believe that the Penny Arcade Reveal was a week ago already, but time sure flies when it's summer! It is blazing hot here and we have been busy trying to come up with activities to beat the heat! I'm not surprised that most of the add on kits are already sold out because they were awesome, but I still wanted to share my full layouts here for you!
The following two layouts were made with the main kit only, which is still available! The custom papers designed by Ashley Goldberg are soooo cool! The line up of embellishments is amazing as well >> I am loving the transparency diamonds by Kal Barteski, the yellow & white fringed crepe paper, the tiny spool of pink twine and those metal cut out shapes!
The next two layouts were made using the add on kits, which I LOVED but are already sold out. If you were quick enough to score any of them, here is some inspiration for ya!
I loved so many of the papers in the Skeeball add on! I couldn't choose just one or two so I decided to cut out a bunch of strips and I layered them together to create this pretty and textured background for my page.
The large wood veneer star and mask in the Fortune Teller add on jumped right out at me so I wanted to feature it in this layout. I used the large star as is and just layered some stickers in the middle of it. Then I used the mask to trace the star shapes onto my background with black pen and finished them by painting the insides with gold mist. I love the imperfect watercolor effect!
I used the Penny Arcade card kit for the following two cards. I'm loving this map paper in the 6x6 miniature version! I also loved these cloud stamps from the stamp set! I used the Color Theory Ink pads in Sunny Day and Blush Crush. QUICK TIP >> I created the yellow cloud by stamping the large solid cloud stamp onto the stamp backer paper, which has this grey stripe pattern printed on it. That's how I got the stripe texture on there!
On this card I used the same technique as I did above with the strips of paper >> cutting strips of my favorite patterns and then layering them onto the background for a textured look.
The next two cards use the Pinball card kit which drew me right in with the wide aqua ribbon, those buttons and the silver doily and labels!!
As always, you can check out my gallery on Studio Calico to see my monthly projects and all of the supplies I used for each one.
If you missed out on getting some of the add on kits before they sold out, you may want to consider becoming a subscriber because subscribers get to purchase all of the kits 12 hours before the reveal to everyone else. It definitely gives you a heads up to get some of those add ons that always seem to sell out fast!!
Happy Reveal!
