Today Amanda has such a darling project to share with us! She is seriously the queen of sending beautiful happy mail.... which I can personally vouch for because I have been the lucky recipient of some of those amazing cute packages! She is showing us how to use an embossing folder on a manilla tag today and I love the result! If you haven't played with the doily embossing folder from my Styleboard collection yet, you are definitely going to want to after reading this!!
Hi Friends! I love sending cards to friends to brighten their day and for a fun extra surprise when getting their mail. Today I am excited to share with you a fun way to use your doily embossing folder to make a cute manilla tag card.
Using the embossing folder was super easy. I love that it is clear so you can see exactly where to place your paper without having to guess. Once my manilla tag was embossed, I cut one of my styleboard collection papers to the width of the manilla tag. Down the side of my styleboard paper I sewed a few scrap pieces of paper along with a few ribbons. I always keep my scraps, I just can't throw them away!!! I also used my stamp to add some hearts to the top.
I cut a second piece of styleboard paper for the back to write on and simply glued the two pieces together.
And to finish the card off I added a fun instax picture on top and paper clipped them together. I love layering and using lots of different textures. Once the card was finished I inserted it into a clear glassine bag. And then into a standard mailing envelope.
I can't wait to use the doily embossing folder again. It was so fun and easy, and adds such a fun texture.
