I have a gorgeous layout to share with you today from Kim! She is my scrapbooking idol when it comes to creating these beautiful layered pages with her papercutting and watercolor techniques! I just love how rich and vibrant this page is and how well she uses color!! I also love how she added the patterned paper background to this page because it really sets off the white and creates such a nice clean border for her artwork!
Hi everyone! I wanted to share a layout that combines both my love of papercutting and my love of scrapbooking and watercolors. I find that I have lots of painted scrap pages in my stash and I love to use those as colorful backdrops to my layouts. For this page I hand cut a line of flowers and leaves down a 12 x 12 page and then layered my cut over a page that I painted with watercolors and gelatos. I wanted to create and ombre look with some pretty green colors.
I kept the rest of the page pretty simple and layered a few sticker labels and cork embellishments along with my photo. With a little manipulation I'm sure a larger cut out could be made in the silhouette software. I just love the punch of color from using watercolors and gelatos. The outcome is always so different and so fun!
