I got to create with the new Studio Calico products for their booth at CHA and am LOVING these collections!!
As always there are a million new amazing things to see at the show and it is like a complete mind-boggling creative inspirational overload!! Seriously I kept saying that I wanted to just grab a bunch of supplies and start making things!!
But, since we can't get everything (even though we wish we could) I will share with you, in a series of posts here on the blog, my "must haves" from the new Studio Calico line up of products!!

This layout uses mostly the new LemonLush collection. What I am LOVING about this collection are the gold doilies and the ephemera pack and then of course, the eclectic bright mix of colorful patterned papers!
Other Supplies Used >> Die Cut Circle Calendar, Printed Fabric Tags, Buttons, Golden Die Cut Leaves
HOW TO >> Use your sewing machine to stitch through the center of the leaves before putting them on your layout. I like how it gives the leaves some added texture & I think it really makes them come to life! I also like to adhere the butterflies in the center only, add some sequins on top, and then stitch through them down the center as well. This leaves the wings of the butterflies unattached. Then I will add foam circles underneath the leaves, which keeps them up so they look like they are floating off of the page!
This page also uses the LemonLush collection but shows how it can be used to make cute boy pages that are bright and colorful! A few of my "must haves" from this page are the silver glitter triangle pieces (that I used to create the banner at the top), the Gold Punchinella Vellum and the ribbon from the Ephemera Pack.

HOW TO >> To create the background for this page I used the large sunburst mask and the Mister Huey's mist in Opaque White.
The other supplies listed for this layout are all part of the NEW ESSENTIALS collection from Studio Calico, which I am thankful to be all stocked up on!! It's basically all of the things that would be on a scrapbooker's list of "essentials' and they come in every color of the rainbow so you can get them to match any layout or project. My personal favorites are the sequins (no suprise there), the chipboard hearts, and the chipboard stars.
I noticed that much of the new LemonLush collection is already sold out so hurry and get what you want before it is all gone! But don't worry, if something you want is not in, just keep checking back for restock!
