I was super excited to get my hands on this new Light Hold Cutting Mat for the Silhouette Cameo this week! It's brand new in the Studio Calico shop. Sometimes the stick on the regular mat is just too much when you want to cut papers that are thinner or more delicate, like vellum!
I used the mat with gold vellum to cut out the large butterfly on this card. I found that the light hold was the perfect amount of stick and the vellum cut very nicely and didn't tear when I removed it from the mat.
Other items I used on the card are the Stitched Journal Cards, Mini Badges, and Paper from the new Studio Calico Printshop collection. I also layered a glassine bag and a doily in there as well for lots of dimensional layers!
I am excited to try the light hold mat with other thin papers like book paper, maps and ledger paper. If you try it, let me know how you like it and what results you get with different papers!!
