Recently I joined Brian on a business trip to San Diego and it was so much fun to have him all to myself for a couple of days! With his busy work and church schedule we don't often get to spend big chunks of time together so this was a great little escape!
We ate at some yummy restaurants and on our last day there, I rode with him while he golfed Torrey Pines. He was in heaven golfing and I was in heaven soaking up the quiet and the beautiful scenery! And it's also awesome to see him in his element doing something he loves!!
I also had some time to myself while he was working and I took the opportunity to hit up an Architectural Salvage shop in downtown San Diego.
I absolutely LOVE places like this! So much inspiration and goodness all in one little place!!
I wanted to take home some old doors and that diamond lattice window, and of course some of these giant metal letters, but we had Brian's car so I couldn't fit any of it!! Next time I will take the suburban!!
I LOVED this whole display of vintage key plates!! Individually they are very cool but there is just something about seeing an entire collection all together like this! WOW!
Of course I didn't leave completely empty handed! They had a huge area of awesome vintage plastic and metal numbers and alphabets. I gathered up quite a few that I am using in my December Daily album for my 25 Days Class at Studio Calico! I just adore the vintage and unique touch they give to my book!
If you are ever in the downtown San Diego area, this is definitely a store worth stopping for!!
Happy shopping!!
xoxo
