July was a CRAZY busy month for us!! We went to Germany for 11 days and then as soon as we got home I found myself back on an airplane a day later, heading to Vegas for CHA! Because we were gone most of the month I didn't have time to create as many scrapbook pages with the kits as I normally do.
But I did make a TON of cards after I got home which you can see here! I simply couldn't let all of these awesome products go to waste! My creative brain was a little fried after CHA but I find that making cards gets the juices flowing again in a way that has less pressure than making full on scrapbook pages. Wonder if anyone else feels that way too?
This first layout uses the Studio Calico August Marks & Co Main Kit only.
The next two use a mix of the Main Kit and the Add Ons.
And then these last two look like Project Life pages but they will actually go into Emily's regular Scrapbook album. I think that using divided page protectors is a fun way to mix things up every now and then in a normal album! When I saw these wood veneer letters from the main kit, I just knew I had to use them in a pocket like this, letting them float around in there. Then of course I had to do a pocket full of sequins and the rest flowed from there! I glued the wood veneer heart right onto the outside of the page and stitched it with my sewing machine.
When creating a pocket page like this you have to think about how things are going to look from the back when adding elements onto or inside of the pockets. But if you take the time to plan that part carefully, when you turn it over, the second side comes together so quickly because a few of the pockets are already done!
You can find more photos of these pages and details about which kits and shop items I used in my gallery on the Studio Calico website. Let me know if you have any additional questions about creating pocket pages like these!! They are fun!
