I can't believe it has already been a month since I was in California (Newport Beach) teaching at Reflections. It was a blast and the event was fabulous! Karen and Susan are both amazing - sweet, fun, great to work with, etc etc and I was thrilled to finally meet them and hang out with them. I also had so much fun talking with all of the gals that attended the event. Again, everyone was so sweet and seriously so nice. It was really refreshing and just great - everyone there sure did a fantastic job of making me feel loved and welcome! Thank you everyone! And it was also great meeting some of my blog followers... you guys all better start saying hi more often!! :) And of course, all of the other teachers were great as well and it was fun to meet some gals whose work I have admired for so long... like Jamie Waters, Shannon Tidwell, Melissa Phillips... and the rest. All of the classes were so unique and different and it was fun to see everyone's different styles come together at one event.
Anyway, if you can't tell by now, I loved it and I hope to see everyone back there again next year... keep checking the Reflections blog for updates about next year's event. Knowing Karen and Susan they will find a way to make it even bigger and better (even though that would be hard to do)!!
I came home and couldn't believe that I didn't take any pictures at the event. Seriously, what was I thinking? I guess I was just too busy talking and teaching and having fun with everyone that it didn't even cross my mind! If any of you want to email the pictures you took during class, I would love that!!
Here are just a few images of the project I taught in my class - a mini album that is actually more of a journal. The title is "I am..." and then each page has a journaling prompt. I am... Happy, Excited, Inspired, Blessed, etc etc. It was super fun and packed full of pages - over 30! Now that is no small mini album! :)
Oh, and I also want to thank all of the fabulous manufacturers that sponsored my class! I had all of the latest products from
Making Memories,
Sassafrass Lass,
Hambly,
Crate Paper,
Fiskars... and more! Thanks everyone! And thanks to Making Memories for sponsoring my make and take. We made the layout below using the new Just Chillin Line and the
SLICE machine. So many people hadn't used the Slice before and I think they all fell in love instantly! It really is impossible not to love that thing!
(The colors are a little off in this image... I look a bit like a ghost... or like I just stepped out of the Twilight Movie. haha)
Anyway, I have more to share from this trip but it will have to come in a later post - a family shoot that I did, as well as some fun pictures that my friend Kelly and I took on Balboa Island.... so stay tuned.
