I finally got a chance to do a shoot with my kids that I have been envisioning for quite a while. You see, when I am always busy photographing other people's kids, it seems that I don't get out to do an actual planned photo shoot with my own as often as I would like to. I have had these giant lollipops since Easter and I have just been waiting for the chance to use them with my kids. I also have 8 big frames for the play room that have been sitting empty forever, waiting to be filled... and my plans are for these (along with others from the shoot) to go in them.
I have only looked through a few of the pictures and already I am sooooo excited! I haven't even loaded the rest but now I can't wait! I just had to hurry and edit a couple of them! I know I am going to have so much fun with these!! Love the bright colors!
I think that giant lollipops are now my new favorite prop! I wish I would have bought a bunch of these when I had the chance! My kids quickly started biting them instead of just licking them which made them not as cute anymore... Emily was the only one that kept hers all nice. She had a few licks and then was sick of it but she still held onto it for dear life! Seriously, she would not let it go and she held it tightly to her chest in both hands the whole ride home! I could not pry it away from her even though she was done eating it! She even carried it into our house with her when we got home but then she dropped it onto the tile and it shattered. :( She was not too happy! But, now that they are gone, I think I need to find more!! So fun!!
(For those of you that are in my photography workshop, or if you are just interested... these were both shot with my 50mm 1.4 at ISO 500, f/3.2, SS 1/640...and then I used my Urban action from the Color Mix Set at 48% opacity.)
