National Scrapbook Day is May 2nd and Studio Calico is celebrating with some fun challenges and lots of giveaways!! Exciting right? Here are the details:
Each of us designers are issuing some sort of challenge on our blogs and each of us is giving away an add-on kit from one of the month's past to the winner! In order to participate in my challenge, you will simply create a layout based on the challenge below and you have all week to do it. Then, on May 2, next Saturday, I will start a thread in the forums at Studio Calico about my challenge. Link your layout to my thread after you have uploaded it to the Studio Calico gallery. You will have until Midnight on May 2nd to post a link to your layout and then I will draw a winner!
The exciting thing is that you can participate in all of our challenges and enter to win on each of our blogs, increasing your chances of winning by a lot! We are all giving away different add on kits too so there are a lot of great prizes up for grabs!!
Now, for the details of my challenge: As you know I really love typography and I love when I see cool uses of type that can be translated into a scrapbook layout. I found this print on etsy by Studio Lyon and I instantly fell in love with it and knew that I could use it as inspiration! Not only do I love the play on type that is used, but I love the gold and I love the woodgrain pattern as well! So cute and so "right now." LOVE it!
So, all you have to do to participate in my challenge is use this print as inspiration for a layout! Pretty simple right? I hope you have fun with it and that you love it as much as I do!!
And here is the add-on kit that I will be sending to the winner of my challenge! I love this kit!! So perfect for my 3 boys!!
I will also be sharing my layout using the inspiration piece here on my blog on May 2nd! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!
