The Studio Calico Take Note and Abroad Collections are on Last Call, which means they are being clearanced out! It's bitter sweet because it means they are on sale but it also makes me sad when some of my favorite products are going bye-bye!
Here's a little card I created using a few of the products from the Take Note collection.... I'm so glad I have a little stash of my favorite things so I can keep using them for a while! I will definitely be ordering more of these papers, the butterfly stickers and the paper garlands because I never want to run out!!
I misted the cardstock with Mr Huey's Pretty Pink and Boss Lady first before assembling the card.
The stamp I used here is from the Hey Y'all Stamp set, also on Last Call! If you are wanting any of these things, get shopping! When they're gone, they're gone!
GIVEAWAY: Here's the fun part! I am giving away a Mr Huey's Dark Calico Mist to one lucky winner! You can enter by visiting the Last Call section of the shop and then leaving a comment here on this post telling me which is your favorite thing! I will be back to draw a winner at random. Good luck!

Studio Calico's newest collection is NOW AVAILABLE here in the shop!!
This is my most favorite collection from them yet! I want to frame some of these papers just to hang in my house! I love them that much!!
I created a couple of projects for you to see the products in use!
In an effort to not overdo the hexagons that I have been obsessed with recently, I decided to play with triangles for this layout and I love how it turned out! I cut various sizes of triangles from my favorite papers and then fit them all together. It was inspired by an art piece I saw on pinterest.
The Mister Huey's mist colors that coordinate with this line are AMAZING! I used the color Buttercup on the wood veneer words for the title. It is a vibrant and rich TRUE yellow! YAY!
The butterflies are included in the ephemera pack which is probably my favorite thing. Anything that includes butterfly sequins is a shoe in for me! The image of the pack in the shop doesn't show the butterfly sequins or the flower brads but they are in there and they are fabulous!
Two of these balloon die cuts are also from the ephemera pack and then I cut the third from one of the papers.
There are not many scrapbooking lines where I want ALL of the papers but this is definitely one of them! If you want some of each paper, the Collection Pack is a great value. I also LOVE the 6x6 Paper Pad because the designs are smaller in scale which makes them fun to use for cards and mini albums!
Be sure to check it out! It's too cute to stay in stock for very long! Lots of the other design team members are also sharing projects on their blogs so be sure to check them out for more ideas and inspiration! And don't miss the Studio Calico blog because there are some fun things going on there as well!

My Studio Calico layouts came together really easily for me this month. Once I got going, I found the mix of products super inspiring..... which always makes the creative process move along quickly!
One thing I definitely fell in love with this month, which I haven't really played with much yet, is the HEXAGON! I know that Studio Calico has had hexagon type products for quite a while now and for some reason I have just shyed away from them. They didn't feel like "me." In the main kit there is lots of hexagon paper, hexagon mistable stickers and then a hexagon stamp and they all coordinate and fit perfectly together so I decided to play around with them and give it a shot! Well I was instantly hooked and went on to do 2 more layouts with hexagons and a card too!!
You will not be disappointed in the main kit, that's for sure!
Another thing I fell in love with once I started making my cards is the stamp set in the Brownie Add On. They are 4 different stamps and the "hello there" one is just perfect for making quick, easy cards that you could use for anything!!
And next up we have BANNERS, which I still do and will always LOVE!
The Heidi Swapp mistable banners in the Lomography Add On are super fun to work with because you can mist or ink them to turn them any color and the pattern on each one is a resist so it stays white! Then the Dear Lizzy premade mini banner in the Holga Add On is just plain cute!
Some shop items you might be interested in that I used for misting and stamping:
My favorite journaling pens are here and here.
A few more cards for you as well that I made with leftover scraps and with the stamp from the Leica Add On.
Let me know if you have any questions on my layouts or the techniques!

I am sooooo super excited that I finally get to share this! It's always hard to keep secrets about fun projects and I have had the best time putting this together!! Yay! It is finally here!!!
Happy Little Moments is my first online scrapbooking class over at Studio Calico! It is a self-paced online class in which you will receive a PDF with step-by-step instructions for completing an album out of an altered book. You will also have access to the class message board to chat with other students and me!
Here is a peek at the album:
My other announcement is that I created an exclusive kit to go along with the class and can I just say that I LOVE how the kit turned out!!! I hand picked each paper and embellishment and some of the things are custom just for this kit!!! We only have a limited supply of the kits so if you want one, you better grab it quickly. After they sell out, they are gone.
The good news is that if you don't get a kit, you can still take the class and create the album with your own supplies. You can modify, substitute and alter the papers and products to fit with what you have on hand or to fit with a different color scheme as well.
I really just get giddy when I look at this kit image because it is pure "Maggie" happiness all packaged up and put together! It is sooooo me and it was so fun and rewarding to see it come to life!!
I can't wait for you to see the entire album!! I'll see you in class when it starts on March 1st!

Heading back up to Utah for SPARK this weekend! I will be demoing and selling the latest Studio Calico products including the mists, masks and stamp sets!! I hope to see you there!!
...................................
In case you missed it, my NEW WEBSITE is now live!! Please go there to purchase my PHOTOSHOP ACTIONS (for the most current versions) and to register for my ONLINE PHOTOGRAPHY CLASSES! We are in the middle of my last class for 2011 but I have some 2012 classes open for registration already and people are signing up!! It's the perfect thing to put on your Christmas wishlist.... just make sure to give your list to your hubby or mom or best friend early so you get signed up before it fills up!
..............................................
It rained a lot and even SNOWED when I was up in Utah with my kiddos for fall break! They sure loved making snow balls and playing in it but I was a little upset that it interfered with my plans for taking LOTS of pictures while we were there at all my favorite Utah locations! I had even scouted out some new ones that I wanted to try but it didn't happen so I guess it will have to wait! Boo!
On our way out of town..... literally...... we stopped really QUICK to take some last minute pictures. I haven't even looked through all of them but I just saw this one and had to open it and do a quick edit. I am in LOVE with the COLOR and the KISSES!! These two are like 2 peas in a pod -- very similar personalities!! When they are not driving me a wee bit crazy with their ENDLESS energy, they are making me smile and laugh and they most definitely always make me feel LOVED!
Hope you have a colorful weekend!! If you need some creative inspiration come see me at SPARK!!!
