Happy Monday Friends!
I shared this amazing mood board for the Studio Calico March Kits on my instagram recently and I am just loving the mix of fun bright colors! I know that so many people are ready for spring and this collection of inspiration takes you right there!
Also I simply couldn't resist cutting out this AMAZING cut file with my Silhouette Cameo. I want to cut this out again and frame it for my house! I'll be sharing some important tips for this one on the blog soon as well.
Reveal is tomorrow and everything will be available! I will be back with another post that shows all of my projects and how I used the new kits!
This week I have a special offer on the Silhouette Cameo for all of my readers (details at the bottom of this post)....... so I wanted to share some more Silhouette inspiration with you!!
I have been using the Silhouette for quite some time now and find that I use it more than I ever imagined!! The fact that you can get new cut files each month, or even create your own by opening an image in the software and using the tracing function, makes it so versatile and means that I always have something fresh and new to cut and use on my projects! You are simply never stuck using the same shape over and over again and I love that about the Silhouette!!
Here are just a few of the many ways I have used the Silhouette Cameo in my scrapbooking and cardmaking. I hope that these get the ideas flowing!!
Used below to cut out the "love" word and layered it on top of the photo and other papers.
Used below to cut out the large heart and the "together" banner.
Used the font/type tool in the Silhouette software to create and cut out this title piece below.
Used it with the love you cut files to create the heart cut out piece below.
I hope that you found some inspiration on how to use the Silhouette Cameo in your own scrapbooking and crafting projects! If you have questions about any of the techniques, please feel free to ask! You can also visit my gallery at Studio Calico to see all of the projects I have created or follow me to see what I create in the future!
ALSO >> did you know that Studio Calico offers exclusive cut files each month that coordinate perfectly with their kits? You will notice that some of the linked files are not available anymore and that is because they are offered for a limited time only. So be sure to grab the current cut files each month before they are gone!

Recently I joined Brian on a business trip to San Diego and it was so much fun to have him all to myself for a couple of days! With his busy work and church schedule we don't often get to spend big chunks of time together so this was a great little escape!
We ate at some yummy restaurants and on our last day there, I rode with him while he golfed Torrey Pines. He was in heaven golfing and I was in heaven soaking up the quiet and the beautiful scenery! And it's also awesome to see him in his element doing something he loves!!
I also had some time to myself while he was working and I took the opportunity to hit up an Architectural Salvage shop in downtown San Diego.
I absolutely LOVE places like this! So much inspiration and goodness all in one little place!!
I wanted to take home some old doors and that diamond lattice window, and of course some of these giant metal letters, but we had Brian's car so I couldn't fit any of it!! Next time I will take the suburban!!
I LOVED this whole display of vintage key plates!! Individually they are very cool but there is just something about seeing an entire collection all together like this! WOW!
Of course I didn't leave completely empty handed! They had a huge area of awesome vintage plastic and metal numbers and alphabets. I gathered up quite a few that I am using in my December Daily album for my 25 Days Class at Studio Calico! I just adore the vintage and unique touch they give to my book!
If you are ever in the downtown San Diego area, this is definitely a store worth stopping for!!
