Wow, I can't believe it has been over two weeks since I last posted! I know I am always saying this but time flies!! Maybe that should be the name of my blog! :) Seriously, where does the time go? It seems that every day I have so many things to do and I have such good intentions at getting it all done.... but then the next thing I know the day is gone and I still haven't done everything I wanted to! One of the problems (and really it is not a problem) is that I have this adorable little sweet baby girl that I want to just sit and hold!! They grow up too quickly and so I want to just enjoy this time with her while she is still little! So, I guess it is o.k. to neglect the blog and the house and the emails and everything else for a while right?
Oh, how I wish I could snap my fingers and have the house clean! That is the one thing that never ends, takes constant work and yet is so not fun to do! I know that when my mom comes to town she thinks I am crazy because I am constantly picking up, wiping down the counters, doing laundry, etc. etc. But, seriously, if I don't pick up and keep up on it all day, it just gets out of control and the house turns into a complete disaster! On the positive side, I am so glad that this is my "job" and that I get to stay home with my kids! I would much rather be doing this than going to an office to work all day!
In the last two weeks here's what we have been up to (besides holding Emily and wiping down the kitchen counter 1000 times!):
-- We finally got our backyard done!! Yipee!! Picture me and Brian and the boys jumping up and down right now!! We have been waiting so long to get it done - trying to decide exactly what to do back there. We wanted to make it a yard that the boys would really love and that would be perfect for our family, so here is what we ended up with:
a sport court where the boys can play basketball, ride their bikes, play baseball, soccer, etc.
a big patio with a dining set so we can eat outside
a decent sized grass area to play on
a grill and sitting area under the covered patio by our house
We basically split the yard in half and put a sport court on one half and then did the grass and patio on the other half. It looks so great - Brian did such a fantastic job designing it and getting everything in. I need to take pictures of it! We just love it and are so thrilled! This is the nicest backyard we have ever had and I know we will use it a ton - especially once the weather starts to cool off down here!
-- My mom came down last week to see us! We were so excited to have her back down again! We didn't do a lot other than just hang out and enjoy the time we had with her! The boys adore her and Emily loved the fact that she had another set of arms to hold her and cuddle her!! Love you Mom!!!!!
-- I did a newborn and family photo shoot last week (my first one since I had the baby). It was an adorable little boy and a gorgeous family with a gorgeous home! It was so much fun and made me realize how much I love it! I took a break to have Emily and it was so great to get going again!! I am so excited to photograph the families that I have booked for this fall! If you are thinking about booking for Christmas card photos, call or email me soon, because I am starting to fill up!
