Tyler turned 6 on Sunday - the 8th! I can't believe he is 6!! Wow!!
We had a Spiderman birthday party for him yesterday here at our house. It was great - he had a bunch of cousins and friends from the neighborhood here so we had a house full!! They played for a while and then we had a Spiderman pinata which was a big hit. Kids just love pinatas for some reason!! You should have heard the screams when it finally got busted open and all the candy and prizes fell out!! After that we opened presents and Tyler got a lot of fun things - games, spiderman toys, transformers! And to top it all off we had a Spiderman cake that I made yesterday morning and ice cream! All the boys thought the Spiderman cake was super cool. The girls weren't quite as thrilled but they thought it tasted good anyway! :)
So, it was a hit! Everyone thought I was crazy for having a big party right before having the baby but there was no way I could put him off for a month!! He has been counting down the days until his birthday since January I think! He always wants to know why July can't just come first instead of after all these months!!
Another funny thing he said on Saturday:
He knew it was the day before his birthday and I think he knew that we hadn't gone shopping for any gifts yet so Saturday morning he tells me this - "Mom, if you and dad need to go shopping today to buy some stuff, I can just stay home by myself. Don't worry, I will be fine cause I am big."
Too cute!!! We did go shopping that day but we took him with and just split up in the store. We got him a bike! He has been wanting one ever since Matthew got one in May for his birthday! He loves it!!

Tomorrow is the big day! I can't believe it is finally here and that tomorrow this time we will be holding our little baby girl!! I am pretty much ready - just working around the house today - trying to get some ironing and laundry and that stuff done! Thanks for all of your emails and well-wishes! If you have emailed me and I haven't responded, it will probably be a week or so until I can get back to you, but I am not ignoring you!! Thanks again!!
