BARELY!!! All I can say is that this last week has brought new meaning to the word "exhaustion" for me. We started moving in last Friday and I have been going non-stop ever since. I seriously do not want to move again for a long long time!! I feel like I have been unpacking boxes forever! lol!! the worst part is that you work so hard and feel like you have done so much and then you turn around and there are a million more boxes left!!
I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnell though! Things are starting to come together and I only have a few random boxes left! I am now starting to do the fun stuff - decorating and making things cute! We sold most of our furniture and decor so we could start over in this new house and it is fun to see it coming together. We have had quite the bad luck with our new furniture though! It has been one thing after another! The first set of couches arrived with a big tear and they were the wrong color so we sent them back. We didn't want to wait 3 more weeks for new ones so we went to Costco Home and picked out an awesome sectional that is comfy and we could pick it up that day. Then we got home and two of the cushions were off in color so we had to go exchange that. Then I have been up to Crate and Barrell twice now to pick up a rug only to find that it didn't arrive... thanks for the call!!! Today we had some things coming from Z Gallerie and I about thought that I was on candid camera because we had problems with that too -- one thing was left at the warehouse, another piece was backordered and our kitchen table could not be assembled because it is missing one little part. So now I have pieces of a table sitting in my dining room and I have to wait 3-5 days for a technician to come out!
It has been quite the ride! After all that I must say that I am extremely happy and so grateful for my new house! I love it so much - the floor plan is a lot more open than my last house and it just functions so much better! I have been running on pure adrenaline because I am so excited to be in and to make it cute and to make it our HOME!! I have a huge passion for decorating and have always loved it and it is great to start with a fresh clean slate so that I can bring all my ideas to life!
I have really missed my mom and my family the last few weeks! It is hard to be away when I am used to seeing them almost every day! My mom is coming next week I think and I can't wait! The boys really miss them!
That's it for now - I have so much to do! Now that I am in my house I will definitely be posting a lot more!! I have missed chatting with everyone and can't wait to get back in touch with everybody!
One more thing - a sweet lady emailed me a couple months back with questions about autism. I have been thinking about you and wanted to reply when I got in my own house so I could take some time with my response and actually make sense and give you some good information. Somehow your email has disappeared from my computer and my phone though. Please email me again so we can chat!!!!! I would love to talk with you and help you in any way that I can!!
