I know that these are a little out of of order but I just never posted this one. Robyn chose this inspiration piece the week before Thanksgiving and I finished it but didn't get a chance to post it before we left town.
I loved the colors from this one - it feels so wintery and cool. I loved the touch of shiny purple in the jacket but I used yellow instead since it is a page about my boy!
This page was all about glitz and glam for me!! I used the silver beads with some adhesive that my sweet friend, Loni, turned me onto. I threw away the packaging and don't even know who makes it... but it rocks - sticks those beads on like no other!!! Then I used this cool yellow ribbon that I got in Arizona at Scrapbooks Etc. - no brand on it either - just one of those random things they sell. It kind of has a shimmer to it which went with my theme! And I finished it off with the rhinestone buckle by MM which I love! It is part of the Simply Fabulous line. The turquoise paper is Scenic Route and the blackish-grey striped paper is Melissa Frances.
Anyway - I hope that you can find some inspiration from this one - especially this time of year since it has such a winter feeling to it. (Don't ask me who would wear such a tiny little skirt in the winter though???? Nobody that lives in Utah - that's for sure. It is so so cold here right now!!!)
On another note - I have been busy as usual - finally caught up on all of my laundry and ironing after being out of town for 10 days last month! It feels so good to have it all done - every article of clothing we own - neatly pressed and hanging in the closets. Now that is satisfaction!!
We finally started Christmas shopping. Got the boys some clothes and toys last night. Tyler had 2 toys picked out that he has been asking for and that all went out the door the minute we took him through the doors at Toy's R Us. He started saying that he wanted everything he saw and then he finally just stopped - spread his arms out wide - and said "I want all the toys, mom, - every one." Pretty funny! I love this time of year because you can always say "Well, I guess we will ask Santa." And then they forget about it by the time their little heads hit their pillows at night.
Tyler and Matthew are both into Power Rangers this year - big time - so that is mainly what they will be getting. Tyler tells me he wants an Omega Megazord and a Delta Command Truck and a Shadow Saber and a Ninja this and a Mystic Force that. Half the time I think that he is confused or that he has his words mixed up and I can't understand him. Then I get to the store and sure enough, there it is - exactly what he has been telling me!! Unbelievable!!
